We hold a range of clinics. If you would like to book an appointment please visit our Consulting Room.

Nurse Clinic

Our Treatment Room is open on the following times:

  • Monday 08:30 – 15:30
  • Tuesday 08:30 – 17:00
  • Wednesday 08:30 – 12:30 – Baby Immunisations 13:00 – 17:00
  • Thursday 08:30 – 17:00
  • Friday 08:30 – 15:15

The Practice Nurse offers the following services:

  • Routine dressings and removal of stitiches
  • Health promotion including lifestyle advice and advice on healthy eating and weight reduction
  • Smoking cessation advice
  • Travel immunisation and advice
  • Childhood immunisation
  • Contraception – Pill Check, contraceptive injection
  • Cervical Smear tests

Phlebotomy Clinic

The phlebotomy clinic runs from Monday to Friday 08:30 – 12:50.

Blood tests are available at the Practice every weekday morning. All blood test results are returned to the GP who requested the test. You can request your test results.

Antenatal Clinic

The antenatal clinic runs on a Tuesday from 12:45 16:30.

This clinic is run by the midwives. If you become pregnant, you will be given a ‘booking appointment’ at which the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either at the Practice or at the local hospital.

Child Health Clinic

The clinic runs on a Monday from 13:30 – 16:00.

All babies are invited for regular check-ups from 8 weeks old and child immunisation starts at 6 weeks old. Child Immunisation Clinic is run by our Practice Nurse.

Diabetes Clinic

Senior Nurse Cath Pembridge is the lead for this clinic. She offers advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes. If you are a diabetic you will be offered an annual check. The Practice will contact you when your appointment is due.

Stop Smoking

Did you know that you are four times more likely to give up smoking with support?
We offer a full range on interventions and support to help patients quit smoking.

Family Planning

Contraceptive care is provided initially by the GPs and afterwards by our Practice Nurse. As part of this service we offer oral contraception (the pill), depo provera injection and coil fitting.

Emergency Contraception is provided by all our GPs. For emergency contraception to be effective patients need to be seen within 72 hours of sexual intercourse. Please contact the Practice as soon as possible and let the receptionist know if you require emergency contraception.

Flu Vaccination Clinics

Flu vaccination is particularly recommended for patients over 65 years and for patients with heart, lung and kidney disease, diabetes and low immune systems.

Carers and residents of nursing and residential homes are also advised to have a flu vaccination. Please contact our reception staff in September for details of clinic dates and to make an appointment.

If you are not able to attend clinic for your flu vaccination because you are housebound please let us know, we can then arrange for your vaccination to be done at home.
