As a general rule:

• Most blood test results are available within seven working days.
• X-ray results are usually available within ten days, although they can take longer at times.
• Cervical smear results are posted directly to patients (from Cervical Screening Wales) within eight weeks of the smear test.

We will often ask patients to speak to, or make an appointment with the GP if we feel their result needs an explanation, this does not mean there is anything seriously wrong.

We are trying to improve the ways you can receive your test results. We hope to have some results available for you online/using this website.

Please note, we request that you do not assume that a result is normal if we do not contact you. The surgery will contact you if there is a significant problem with your results, but please contact us for all results as the GP may have made some suggestions or advice based on your results even if there is not a significant problem.

In future you may wish to register for online services to have the ability to Book or Cancel an Appointment, Request a Repeat Prescription, Change Personal Details and View your Medical Records without visiting the practice.
